Drink plenty of water. Summer months get really heated and without the proper hydration the body will become dehydrated. Dehydration will cause the skin to become dry and flaky.

Your skin will begin to look older and feel rough. So, drink lots of water, lemonade and tea. Be sure to prepare for the unexpected. Although, you plan to be out in the sun for only a few minutes, you never know when you just might get stuck out a little longer. Always have a few extra bottles of water on hand just in case.

Wear sunscreen while outdoors. If you plan to be out in the sun always put on sunscreen preferably with SPF 30. Yes, this goes for both men, women and children. It is easy to become exposed to sunrays causing the skin to become burned and painful. Remember, the hottest times outside is during the hours of 10a. M. And 2p. M. Consider planning or attending events before or after these times.

Keep your refrigerator filled with ice cold drinks to help you stay hydrated during the summer. It is best to wait a few minutes from coming out of the heat before gulping down cold drinks. However, while you are on the outside you can sip on cool refreshing drinks.

Keep your cellphone with you at all times. Hard to believe that your phone can be of great assistance to you while outdoors. However, it can check the temperature on your phone and when you see it rising, you should be making your way inside as quickly as possible. Also, your cellphone can be used to call for help if you are ever in a crisis. If you feel as if you are becoming sick while out in the heat, call for assistance right away.

When possible wear long-sleeves shirts and pants while outdoors. Most people want to put on a pair of shorts, tank tops or short-sleeves shirts while outdoors. However, if you are out gardening, or sitting in an area where the grass is high wear protective clothing.

Regardless of how you plan to spend your summer in Willow Glen, CA, you want to make sure that you that you are protecting yourself from becoming sun burned, dehydrated and suffering from heat exhaustion. If you do not know the signs it is important to educated yourself. You might save yourself from a dangerous situation as well as someone else from heat exhaustion.
